Note: I would NEVER assume the user before me returned clean plates to the desiccator.  As such, it is best to wash the plates before before and after use.  Place the plates on a Kimwipe tissue, squirt acetone or other appropriate solvent onto the plates, then rub the solvent and any contaminants off the plate with a Kimwipe.

The Jasco 4100 Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer (FTIR)

2. Computer that interfaces with FTIR.
3. Instruction sheet.
4. Lid to sample chamber.
5. On/off switch.

IR salt plates (round on Kimwipe), sample holder (black), and desiccator.  Salt plates are always stored in a desiccator when not in use. Keep the desiccator closed as much as possible!
